Gunmen Kill Two Vigilantes in Port harcourt

Gunmen shot and killed two Vigilantes in Diobu, Port Harcourt early Thursday morning.

The gunmen numbering about seven killed the two vigilantes at Timber by Ojoto and Saint Thomas street by Ikwerre road in Diobu at about 1:20am, Secretary of Diobu Vigilante, Amatari Bipileide said.

"The armed hoodlums had first invaded my residence and used iron-cutters to cut open my locks, but I escaped and when they could not find me, the gunmen  proceeded to attack his members." 

Mr Bipileide however reiterated commitment in carrying out their core duties despite such attacks.

 The Police could not be immediately reached for comments.
